February

February was Meet a New Person Everyday month:

This was a hard one for me. I'm pretty gregarious once you get to know me, but under normal circumstances I don't really meet a lot of new people. The challenge this month was to pull myself out of that shell and force myself to introduce myself to new people. Surprisingly, I had great success with this. I succeeded in meeting someone new every day, and pulled a handful of actual friends out of it. Some of the new meets, in no particular order:

Kevin and Stacie!
Quite possibly the most ridiculously cute couple ever. Stacie runs an amazing blog called Jerk Cats and sings like a mad version of Liza.

Rachel!
Rachel had moved into a house with a bunch of my friends and is a motorcycle riding, French speaking, premium tobacco smoking, sailor. She's just that cool.
No. Really.  Did you see the picture? She's like Frank Sinatra in chick form.

Aubrey, Eva and Michelle!

Eva and I have known each other forever and we'd been trying to get together and catch up for a billion years. Finally one night we both had no obligations and we went out with her friends. We met them for Karaoke at the bottom of a Japanese resturant in San Francisco.
What.A.Great.Night.
These girls are super rad.

Laurie!

Laurie might be considered cheating, since I knew her before February. We'd been acquaintances for a few months, but really became close friends in February. She's also a space explorer who may or may not be a robot gangster rapper.
True story.

Eric and Laura!

Eric and Laura are karaoke madmen. Eric is the front man for Everything Goes Cold, and Laura is a belly dancer. They were a good meet week 3.

Emily!
The beautiful and talented Emily is the front woman of The Fashion Slaves. She's swiftly become one of favorite people. Check out her band.
